Friendships will last with a two-way communication

Everyone Needs to Communicate and Listen
We all need friends throughout our lifetime. Without them we would be very lonely and miserable. Friendship means sharing things and being with each other.
A friend is someone who you can turn to in time of need. Whether it is when you are in trouble, need help, advice or simply for companionship. Everyone needs to have at least one true friend that he or she can depend on no matter what the situation.
Friendship is a two-way thing, and means being there for one another. You and your friend should share in two-way communications, not have a one sided conversation. If your so-called friend comes to you with a problem, you need to listen to what they are saying. You will also need to read between the lines, and pick -up on what they are not telling you. This is very important, as sometimes it is what they are not telling you, that is the key to the problem.
When after explaining your problems to your friend, you find that he or she turns the conversation around to what has happened to them, then that person is selfish, and does not have your interests at heart. Friendship is all about being there to help one another through both the good and bad times together.
True friends share things together; one person would not try to control the way the other person thinks or acts. Everyone has their own faults, but we learn to accept that because it is a part of them and that is what may have drawn you to them in the first place. Never try to change a person in any way. Offer your support, let them grow naturally and perhaps that friendship can become stronger than ever.
Communicate your feelings, troubles, and needs with one another. Instead of both having to run the children to school, take turns. Help one another whenever you can. A true friend will drop what they are doing to help the other person in a crisis. If not then that person is not really your friend, you are better off without them.
The people that put themselves first, and talk over the top of you, or have always had something worse happen to them, will never understand what it is like to have a true friend. They will never comprehend why they have no lasting friendships, simply because they are too selfish and self-centered to know any different or even see what they are doing wrong. They are too busy whining or talking about themselves.
Throughout your lifetime, you will meet many people, who you may class as friends, cherish them while you can. If you only ever have one friend with whom you have shared a true two-way communication with in your life, then you are blessed and still richer than a person who has never had one at all.
